Although DPC has more shade than comparable units on Seven Mile Beach, there is never enough. The beach cabanas and umbrellas are on a first come first served basis. However, we ask that you be courteous to all guests by not reserving these while you are not on the beach for extended periods of time. Personal items are not permitted to be left in the cabanas overnight. All towels and possessions will be removed from the beach nightly.

Beach chairs cannot be left at the water’s edge.

Please operate the air conditioning with all windows and doors closed.

Foot pans

To prevent sand and dirt from being tracked into the rooms, and to prevent the blocking of drains by sand, a foot pan for washing sand or dirt off your feet is made available.  If you do not have a foot pan, please advise the office.  Always leave the foot pans on the walkway and do not place them on the grass or inside the unit.

Housekeeping

The Discovery Point Club provides daily maid service, except on Sunday and public holidays to all our guests.  On public holidays, towels are removed, and garbage taken out; however, there is NO service at all on Christmas Day & Good Friday.  The housekeepers will make beds (sheets are changed every third day), sweep and mop floors, clean the bathrooms, replace used towels, and generally clean the unit.  Please ensure that all wet and sandy beach towels and bathing suits are kept OFF all furniture and beds.  The housekeepers are not responsible for personal laundry or dishes.
